Build UConn

BUILD Hartford

Analyzing the past, present, and future of the Hartford entrepreneurial landscape!

The BUILD Hartford course (BADM-4895/BADM-5894, Section 701) provides students a “real-world” opportunity to hone their business storytelling skills through the contextual lens of Hartford’s business and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Students work with a wide range of individuals and organizations throughout the city to create innovative projects and develop new opportunities to aid in Hartford's development.

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV)

The transformation from a warrior to an entrepreneur!

EBV is designed to give focused, practical training in the tools and skills of new venture creation and growth and the establishment of a support structure for graduates of the program. EBV also serves a critical function in helping our disabled veterans work through their physical limitations, psychological challenges, and social obstacles. EBV brings together a dedicated UConn community of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and others to rally around this group of exceptional individuals.

Family Business Program

Meeting the unique challenges family businesses face for over 25 years!

The Family Business Program helps family businesses adapt and thrive in today’s rapidly changing economic and business climate. Through business and family-systems programming, we help you prepare and propel your business through innovative business strategy, organizational structure, management practices, human resources, leadership development, and succession planning. Equally important as learning from such programming, the Family Business Program is a collaborative, member-driven initiative, allowing you to share challenges and solutions and learn from each other through our network.
