Attending a career fair is a great way to connect with potential employers and explore different paths. Employers from various industries will be present, offering internships, co-op positions, and full-time job opportunities. Here is more information about our upcoming Fall Fairs:
Day 1: All-University Fair (Tuesday, 9/17):
- This fair is open to all majors. Whether you’re studying business, arts, or any other field, you’re encouraged to attend.
- All years - whether you’re a first-year student, senior, graduate student or anything in-between - employers want to meet you.
- It’s a chance to learn about different companies, their cultures, and available roles.
Day 2: STEM Fair (Wednesday, 9/18):
- If you’re in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM), this fair is tailored to you.
- Explore opportunities in fields like sustainability, software development, data science, engineering, and more.
Remember to research the participating companies beforehand, practice your elevator pitch, and approach the fair with enthusiasm. Make sure to dress professionally, bring your resume, and prepare some questions for the recruiters. Bring a friend…and BE CURIOUS!

It is a foundational document for detailing a startup company and is required to access debt and equity capital. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the key components of a business model (and the short form version, referred to as a Business Model Canvas) and how we can use it to highlight value creation and identify risks and assumptions in your business. All participants will leave the session having begun (or honed an existing) business model canvas.

In this session, you will learn about three general topics affecting new businesses. First, we’ll walk through “Choice of Entity and Governance Documents,” to help you determine what type of legal entity you would operate your business through—whether it’s a partnership, corporation, limited liability company, non-profit, or a host of other potential options—and then learn about the required regulatory filings and operating documents needed for each type. Next, we’ll review some key issues in governance, which will teach you about the duties of founders to other co-founders, investors, and interested third parties. Finally, we’ll discuss “Legal Audit,” which will be more interactive and walk you through how to conduct a regulatory and contractual audit for a business.
